We use natural sea salt in our bouillon paste for flavour and preservation. Not refined table salt — which is NOT the same as the salt we use in our bouillon. Natural salts, like sea salt, Celtic salt, and Himalayan salt retain beneficial trace minerals and skips the harsh processing which removes these essential minerals. Salt is essential! By using for preserving the paste and bringing out deep flavour — we don’t need artificial additives.
Original Vegetable Bouillon: ~440mg sodium per 1 tsp serving
Ramen Bouillon: ~680mg sodium per 1 tsp serving
Recommended Daily Intake (RDI): 2,300mg for a healthy adult (do we even get that much?)
But here is what salt-conscious people overlook in regard to our bouillon: 👉 1 teaspoon is typically used for an entire dish — like a full pot of soup, grains, or sauce — meaning the sodium gets diluted across multiple servings. So unless you’re eating the whole pot, you’re only getting a fraction of that sodium per portion. Also, our bouillon doesn’t have that overly salty taste at all. You might even have to add more salt to your liking.
You get all the savoury depth of flavour from a small amount, using real ingredients and sea salt, not the excessive, hidden salt found in most processed bouillon cubes or powders.
Does the question “How much salt is in one serving?” even apply, matter or raise concerns about a product like our fresh vegetable bouillon?
Read our blog article which explains why salt might be one of the most misunderstood minerals!

We don’t use any additives, preservatives, or hidden ingredients. While it’s free from common allergens, we always recommend checking the ingredient list in case you have specific food sensitivities.
We are making our Fresh Vegetable Bouillon with organic (as supply allows) ingredients, no additives or preservatives, and simply real flavour — unlike supermarket brands filled with artificial stuff and mystery powders and no ingredients transparency.

Our jars have a sticker on the bottom indicating the best-before date. A shelf-life study conducted in a certified lab confirmed that the product is safe to use for up to 4 months after production.
We plan to extend this testing to a longer period, as the salt preservation method likely keeps it safe for consumption beyond that time. Private testing has shown that this way of preservation enables a shelf-life way beyond 4 months as long as it is stored in the refrigerator.
